Albert
J. Mueller President & CEO
Mr. Mueller has provided investment advice to institutions,
individuals and families of significant wealth for more than 20 years.
During his career at Morgan Stanley and UBS, Mr. Mueller had
responsibility for evaluating and recommending investments in virtually
every asset class. His clients relied on his ability to construct and
manage portfolios to achieve their investment objectives. Mr. Mueller's
professional experience on Wall Street and personal experience as a
major donor and board member have prepared him to provide Excellence in
Giving℠ clients with valuable insight into the effective use of their
philanthropic capital.
Mr. Mueller, a native of California, is a graduate of the University
of Arizona and holds an MBA from the Anderson School of Management at
UCLA. He and his wife Susan reside in Colorado Springs with their three
children.

Thor
Iverson Chief Operating
Officer
Mr. Iverson is responsible for Excellence in GivingSM operations and
client services. He brings a passion for wise stewardship and
high-impact giving to the role, having served as chief financial officer
for family-owned businesses with high-capacity, philanthropic owners.
Mr. Iverson brings more than twenty years of senior management
experience to Excellence in Giving. He served as an executive for
several technology firms including Echelon Corporation, BeAtHome.com,
Amity Technology, Concord, Inc., and Great Plains Software, which was
acquired by Microsoft in 2001. He began his career as a software
engineer at Hewlett Packard. Mr. Iverson's professional experience
includes extensive international business in Russia, Ukraine, and
Scandinavia.
He received his MBA from Stanford University and his B.S. in Computer
Science and Business Administration from North Dakota State University.
Mr. Iverson is a published author and a patent holder. He lives in
Colorado Springs with his wife Dana and their two children.

Mark Percy
Managing Director
Mr. Percy is Managing Director of Excellence in Giving's CA office
and Principal of Next Generation Strategies, LLC. He is committed to
effective, sustainable and highly leveraged philanthropy, and he works
closely with families to that end. As the PathNorth Director of
Philanthropy, he works with CEOs of middle market, privately-held
companies to explore the practice and meaning of philanthropy in their
lives, families, and communities.
Between 1986 and 2008 Mark held executive positions primarily in
privately held firms including President of a family business, Charles
Percy & Associates. He spent 4 years guiding the government business
development initiatives of a Fortune 500 corporation. Since the late
80s, he has led or co-led teams that were awarded over $500 million in
new government contracts, mainly in international emerging markets, but
also at the state and local level in the U.S.
Mark Percy grew up in a family devoted to public and community
service, and for more than two decades he has integrated a distinguished
business career with leadership in the non-profit sector. He serves on
the non-profit boards of Child S.H.A.R.E., which finds safe, loving and
stable homes for abused children, and endPoverty.org, which transforms
lives through microenterprise in some of the poorest countries in the
world. He is also a member of the National Leadership Council for
Communities in Schools, the Advisory Board of the Center for the Family
at Pepperdine University, and the Advisory Board of the Not for Sale
campaign to fight human trafficking.
Mark received his BA from Stanford University and an MBA from Yale
University's School of Management. After residing for 20 years in
Washington, DC, Mark and his wife, Leslee, moved in 2005 to California
where they had met and married more than 30 years ago. Their two adult
children, Taylor and Gavin, also live in Southern California.

Paul
Penley, Ph.D. Director of
Research
Dr. Penley brings analytical and writing capabilities to Excellence
in Giving as the Senior Research Analyst. His research, philanthropic,
and communication experience enable him to lead Excellence in Giving's
efforts to become the premier source of philanthropic analysis and
advice. Paul has international relief work and ministry experience in
Mexico, Bolivia, Kosovo and Uganda. He has performed field research for
strategic community development for the Compassion Coalition of
Knoxville, TN. By age 28 his intellectual aptitude and critical-thinking
skills had been demonstrated through the completion of his doctorate
degree while serving as a full-time college professor. In his role as
Senior Research Analyst, Dr. Penley helps Excellence in Giving clients
discern strengths and weaknesses, pitfalls and potential, as they
consider how to wisely invest their philanthropic capital.
Dr. Penley received his PhD from Trinity International University in
2008 and published his dissertation in T&T Clark's LNTS monograph series
managed in Edinburgh. He received his BA and MDiv from Columbia
International University in 2001 and 2003. During his completion of
these degrees, he studied abroad in Israel, Turkey, Greece, and Egypt,
adding to his understanding of international culture and history. He
currently resides in Colorado Springs with his wife Christy and their
two children where he enjoys hiking, golfing and fly fishing on Colorado
streams.

Lauren
Brown Client Advisor
Mrs. Brown joined the Excellence in Giving team in March 2009. Lauren
brings a depth and breath of experiences including business, education
and philanthropy. She and her husband Kevin owned a small top-rated
resort and marina in the Midwest for ten years and relocated to Colorado
Springs in 2007. Prior to that, Lauren taught at an inner-city Chicago
high school and a private Christian high school in the Los Angeles area.
From 2004-2009 she has been the Substitute Teaching Leader for Bible
Study Fellowship in Lafayette, Indiana and Monument, Colorado. She also
was the personal assistant for a high-capacity family for three years in
the Chicago area, assisting with the family's charitable giving and
philanthropy.
Mrs. Brown is a graduate of Wheaton College with a BA in Literature.
She has lived overseas and travelled extensively throughout Europe. She
and Kevin live in Colorado Springs with their three daughters.

Craig
Glass Client Advisor
Mr. Glass joins Excellence in Giving as a client services advisor. He
has 20 years of leadership experience, including his role as Vice
President of Ministries for International Teams, a missions agency based
in Chicago, and three years as National Director and Vice President of
Team Ministries with International Students Inc. Prior to his work at
ISI, Mr. Glass was on staff at Willow Creek Community Church providing
leadership to the Legacy men's ministry, consisting of 100 small groups
and 800 men. He is currently the director of Peregrine Ministries, an
organization focused on leading men into inspiring adventure and
authentic relationships that transform lives. Craig and his wife Beryl
live in Monument, Colorado, have been married for 30 years, and have
three children.

Karen
B. Rodman Client Advisor
Mrs. Rodman has over 20 years experience in nonprofit management,
marketing, and development. Most recently, Mrs. Rodman founded the
Philanthropic Strategy Group, a philanthropic consulting group focusing
on strategic development, outcome evaluations, and revenue generation
models for nonprofit agencies, private, and corporate foundations. Prior
to that, she oversaw the Redman Foundation and the M.R. & Evelyn Hudson
Foundation as executive director. In 1999, Dallas Social Venture
Partners, a venture capital fund for social purpose, was founded and
directed under her leadership until 2002.
Mrs. Rodman is an active community volunteer, serving on the board of
directors of Uganda Children's Charity Foundation, as well as on the
advisory boards of the Social Enterprise Alliance, Dallas Children's
Theater, Gilda's Club North Texas and Holy Faith Episcopal Church
Foreign Mission Committee. She is an often-sought speaker to groups like
the Council on Foundations, the Center for Nonprofit Management and
various universities. She is a graduate of Texas A&M Health Science
Center at Dallas with a B.S. degree. Mrs. Rodman and her husband live in
Santa Fe, New Mexico and have one daughter.
